JazzHastings is an independent, voluntary, non profit group. Since the spring of 2005 it has promoted a monthly gig at the Hastings and St Leonards Angling Club, on the seafront in the oldtown of Hastings. Previous acts have included such stars as Don Weller, John Etheridge, Bobby Wellins, Polar Bear, Christian Brewer, Mark Edwards, Ben Castle, Byron Wallen, Pete King and Bheki Mseleku to name just a few!. Admission for every gig has been £5.00 and JazzHastings will be maintaining this affordable entry fee indefinitely -even with the welcome return of heavyweight American visitor Kirk Lightsey pianist with his trio on 24 November 2008.....See image. Jazz Hastings has a policy of promoting established as well as young emerging professional musicians and Monday September 1st sees the first performance at the club of 'NEON' featuring Gwilym Simcock, piano, Jim Hart vibes and Stan Sulzman, Sax.

Support for all the gigs has been tremendous. Please keep coming and the gigs will continue!
